Would you wear your Rolex....
Hello Folks,
I'm heading up to Washington DC for the week. I will be taking in the sites over the weekend. Public transportation (Metro) will be my means of transportaion in from Reston. Would you wear your Submariner? |

I wear my Rolex just about anywhere. I have never had a problem on vacation in any city I have visited.
However, I am not staying out until 3am, stumbling back to the hotel drunk and cutting trough dark allies. If you are doing that then your Rolex is not safe wherever you are.

Trust me.... Everybody has a Rolex in DC. And in Reston, a Sub is required for all bartenders!

I wear my Rolex most anywhere without worry...
I do not know if I would say the same if I was wearing an all gold model but still Id even wear that most anywhere. If I am going to a third world country and going to be in a less than desirable area where I am really worried Ill wear a Marathon or Ill wear my White Face Exp II that is without a cyclops (Daytona crystal) as its uber low key. In the US Id wear it anywhere

Yes. Washington DC is perfectly safe if you stick to all the "touristy" spots.

If you're asking if you should wear your watch in <insert place here> then you probably shouldn't be wearing your watch there.

I'm going to wear my GMT IIc bear hunting in Canada next week. It's insured for full value. I'm not. I see lots of people worrying about where they can wear their watches. Insurance is cheaper than worry.

We need a world Atlas with a "Y" or "N" in each country and city so folks know where a Rolex can be worn ;-)

I never travel by Metro in DC...you carry a lot of money, an expensive watch etc.
Take a Taxi..so what if you spend a couple of hundred extra...peace of mind above all. |

They are doing that through the back food method, taxes and fees. Another few years and the middle class will be gone.
