New Member : buying advice
Hello. New member here looking for advice/suggestions
My wife and I are expecting our first two children (twin boys) in a week or so. I'd like to get my wife a gift to celebrate. Based on my resident salary a pre-owned datejust is likely what I'll be getting for her. I seen plenty of pre-owned with the diamond dial. Is it possible to replace the diamonds with emeralds, or put emeralds on a non-diamond face? Which route would be easier? Suggestions for a dealer? Matt |

You will have to find a customizer and ask him/her which would be easier. It wouldnt be worth the expense IMO, but it's your choice. Congrats and welcome to TRF.

Also note that if it is not authentic rolex and is aftermarket Rolex will not service your watch if something goes wrong..that does mean that any other rolex independent watch maker will have to service it instead...

There are plenty of pre-owned Woman's DJ's around. You might take a look at Capetown Diamonds' site for some ideas and pricing ranges. Ebay is also a good site to study but not so safe for buying. Capetown and Beckertime may also have some aftermarket diamond options, too.

Congrats on the boys! try tnsdiamonds, they do a lot of custom diamond work on watches. I would imagine setting emeralds would be as easy as diamonds.

Your best and safest bet would be to write to all the Trusted Sellers on here (TRF) and get them to send you a DJ. Some of them may also know people who could do the alterations for you, but please read what was written in this thread previously concerning non-original Rolex parts. If, you're ready to take the risk regardless, then do go with a Trusted Seller.
