Emailed these commemorative shots to Cdr. Carpenter this morning...
May 24th this year will mark the 49th anniversary of Cdr. Scott Carpenter's Mercury capsule flight in Aurora 7. The Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute was the first wristwatch worn by an American astronaut into space. I think I bought this in 1996. It unfortunately doesn't get enough wrist time. Funny that I bumped into this Scott Carpenter thread today. Pic is pretty small, but it is the Ltd. Edition Scott Carpenter model.
