Cleaning a DeepSea

I've owned my DeepSea for about 6 months and would like to give it a clean, what would members suggest is the best way, I was planning to rinse it gently in cold tap water and let it dry overnight, but would appreciate any advice as this is my first Rolex.

Thanks

Nick

As with any Rolex oyster just plain old soap and water just wash once or twice a week perhaps a soft brush on bracelet make sure crown is screwed in just finger tight. Then dry in any lint free clean cotton cloth, thats all thats needed no need for anything else.

Let it soak for 30 minutes in plain old soap. You can use a soft baby toothbrush to brush under the bezel and clasp.

I think it says in the owner instructions to use soap and warm water with a soft brush but then it IS a Deepsea so you could always give it a blast with a power washer.

In all seriousness aside, you could strap your watch to some sort of hard surface and call your local Fire Department to hose it down would do the trick! After all, it is the DSSD!

But warm water and soap would do the job fine as well.

I stopped wearing my Rolex in the shower years ago due to the buildup of soap scum, particularly behind the clasp and in those hidden areas. I don't use shower gel and can't speak for it, but my showering every day using bar soap did the opposite of keep it clean.

Johnson and Johnson Baby Shampoo for my 16600 and 116520 along with a baby tooth brush works great every couple of weeks!

Six months! I do the cold water rinse and dry everyday. No one can ever accuse you of being OCD.

while you take a shower, take off your watch and use what ever soap is in your hand, lather it up good and hold it to the shower head.
been cleaning my sub for 20 years exactly like that.

every now and again, you can use a soft toothbrush to get in the cracks.

and what is this "drying over night" you speak of??? lunacy, put it on and go.

the deepsea is for all intents that you can throw at it impervious to water.
