Omega SMP and the beach...

Thinking of taking my Seamaster professional with me to Mallorca. Is there a risk of getting sand under the bezel? From what I understand, the bezel is not easily removed on your own. Maybe I should take the submariner instead, so I can remove the bezel if it gets sand under it? Or am I overthinking this... ?

Are you planning in rolling around in the sand all day? If not I wouldn't worry about it.

I spend loads of time on the beach each summer, surfing and diving as well as playing with the kids in the sand. I am careful to avoid getting which ever watch I'm wearing covered in sand, but I don't use the bezel then make sure it has a long blast under a cold tap and a long soak in fresh water at the end of each day. Never had a problem. If you're digging holes in the sand with your hands, you could always take off your watch.

Just wear it. It will be fine. And, you won't have to worry about people making fun of your Rolex;-)

Come on, it's a Seamaster! It was meant for that environment! It will probably be happier on the beach than in a stuffy office.

there's probably a risk of getting sand everywhere when you're at the beach

I don't think you need a watch to lounge on the beach. I'd leave it at home.
