just had my Explorer II serviced about a month and a half ago, losing 16seconds a week, normal or send it back. many thanks.....

The rule is -4/+6 per day is within range.

That's mean in average you lost about 2.3 seconds/day, That's pretty good, well within COSC.

yeah, that's right. have often would you reset it? right now it seems to have leveled off..

As others have said: Your watch is performing well, and as expected.

I am usually happy to have my watches within -1 to +1 minute, so if you set yours to +1 minute it will be at ca -1 minute after two months. Or set it at + 30 seconds, and after a month it will be at ca -30 seconds.

Doing this you will need to "reset" it every second - or every - month.

That's pretty good. Just set it 30-45 seconds ahead. You wont have to reset it as often.

Did you try resting it in a position at night that would cause it to gain?

You are not happy that your mechanical watch is only showing 99.997% accuracy.You could try resting your watch when off wrist at night flat dial up might gain a second or so overnight your watch is fine.

Dude, there are like 86,400 seconds per 24 hours. There are 604,800 seconds in a week.

Think about that and tell us fourteen seconds actually mean anything...
