Thinking of trading my Rolex for....
Hi all! Would love to hear your thoughts. I'm considering trading my mint 11610 LV for a mint Pam 312. All box and papers for both . Also it is with Watchuseek
anybody here ever deal with them. Are they trustworthy? All this makes me quite uneasy, I've heard of people getting ripped off all the time. Am I crazy? |

I would be tempted, do what makes you happy. But go try it on first at an AD if there is one near you. That being said, I have made trades, bought and sold watches on WUS. Like anywhere, you are never 100% safe, so as always, use caution and get references.
Good luck

The 312 is a beauty but as mentioned make sure you try it on and like the feel/size on your wrist

I would keep the LV. I feel it has staying power and is a proven classic. The PAM is certainly a fantastic watch, but the Rolex is so iconic I would be hard pressed to ever part with it.

312 is rather mundane and way too thick at 18mm IMO, sits too high on the wrist. Go try it on but I wouldn't do it.

Thanks everyone! I have a Pam 24 Sub and I love it, but I agree with the general consensus- Keep the Rollie it's the one and only! As much as I love Pams and the 312 in particular, the Rolex Sub and Rolex's in general are proven classics again and again. The LV is a beauty!

Can't say if it's a good trade or not, but you might wanna look into the 351, 321, and other 1950 cased watches. If you read paneristi, you would see a lot of people have problems with their 312.They also use P9000 in many other 1950 watches, but it seems like the 312 is always the one that has problems.
From a current 312 owner (mine is back at Panerai for a complete overhaul). |

I would not do it... it is not a good trade. The LV has more staying power and is more classic.
This is from a 312 ex-owner.

What do you think the majority of the answers are going to be on a ROLEX forum?

it is not being biased. there maybe more attraction to the panerai because of its looks but the name rolex will be around for much longer.

I'd keep the LV...
I've owned the 312 and it is a really nice watch with the new in-house but the LV is just too nice to give up IMO.

The 312 is too thick for my tastes. Keep the 16610 LV and save up for a different Panerai model. What is the case thickness of the 233?

Especially not a LV. keep it, they're getting harder to come by at reasonable prices these days.
