To those who have seen old GMTs in the wild

What's the ratio of Pepsis To Cokes you've seen in the wild?

Strange...I've only seen one Pepsi in the wild. Many more Cokes. Yet, the Pepsi is considered the more classic GMT on watch forums.

I saw a two-tone today, and I was wearing a black insert in my 16750.

I have NEVER seen a pepsi or coke in the wild.

Funny how watch forums ( at least from my experience) tout the ss gmts ( pepsis, cokes, blacks). Yet, people here ( so far) see more TTs. Interesting.

I see more coke inserts than pepsi, and see black inserts the most.

I have seen Speed's (Bill), David Woo's & Frankinca's Rolex pepsi GMT's in the "steel"....I see more new C GMT's in the "wild"...the most common sport Rolex watches I see are the Rolex subs.

I've only seen Cokes in the wild but I've only seen a handful of 16710's in my life.

I have seen only one GMT in the wild, 18 years ago. When I was in the Navy a pilot in my squadron wore a 16710 Pepsi. Never saw another until I bought mine.

Since the red/blue had a 30 year head start on the red/black, that means that the red/blue had been in production for 57 years, and the red/black only a mere 25 years.

Also, the red/black should only be seen on the GMT II (the watch it was introduced on), and never on a GMT Master.

Therefore, there should be more GMT II's with red/black and more GMT Masters with red/blue.

I've seen more Coke, Black and Root Beer. Very few Pepsi (under 10). Ratio 1 Pepsi:3 "other"

I see more datejusts and subs than GMT's

There was a guy filling up at the petrol station who had a black bezel one. It was amazing how under the radar it appeared. Never seen any other colour in the wild, strange...

I think I've seen one Pepsi and no Coke in my lifetime in wild. I guess I hang out in the wrong places. I have to say though I don't go around staring at people's wrists!

I only saw pepsi variants in the wild, no coke or black. However, since in most cases it's not possible to check out a Rolex on a stranger's arm up close, I may have mistaken a black GMT with a Sub While the pepsi bezel is quite prominent.

Ive seen a few pepsi and a few cokes in the past couple years
traveling but mostly black. Recently I have been seeing more
and more GMT IIC's while waiting in airports in Europe.

Two guys who work on the same floor as me wear GMT Pepsi; both said they acquired their watches in the early 80s. Still have original bezel inserts, too.

My first Rolex was a rootbeer in 1973. In the following 35+ years, I've probably seen two pepsi's and no cokes.
