Patrizzi dials are not starting to change color- they changed long ago or they didn't change. I see no change whatsoever-looks like a regular dial. In my opinion if you have to ask- it isn't- save your money.

I tend to agree.....
There is so many variables involved in those pics!!! The foremost for me is, Photoshop/and or Lighting~!

To the "it should look like this" guy, are you claiming yours just became that color overnight?? I assume all Patrizzi dials got there gradually. I'm no expert but the OP's watch looks, at least from the pictures, like it is in the early stages of discoloration

Watches with the paint defect that turned brown - whether like Patrizzi above or tropical dials of 69 era don't begin to change color now. They turned brown when they were exposed to sun and that happened from early on not late life. In fact many people had dials changed due to paint defect as they wanted original black looking dials. Again- no watch would now be in early stage of discoloration- sorry.

What if the watch had been sitting in a box all it's life?

And never exposed to light? Unlikely but I guess anything is possible...But I like to deal with the 99% + not the less than 1% reality.

okay.... may be mine is a exception, I bought this in 95 and wear it for about 6 months and have been sitting in the bank safety box for almost 15 yrs, just toke out last year..... and notice the sub dial color changed.

So it doesn't need UV or sunlight to discolor...but it did take a decade or so for a dial to change in my case.

It was exposure to sun that was defect in paint. So it took 6 months to trigger it.

Actually, I think you are looking for advice...or, perhaps someone to advise you.

Make sure the sub dials have not turned brown from someone blowing cigar smoke on them in an effort to create a "smoke screen" Patrizzi.
