Midsize DJ AD discount rate?
Hello,
I've been swimming in the sea of information for the past couple of weeks, accumulating so much information, thanks to all TRFers. I have been trying to decide which model I want to get, as this watch will mark so many milestones in our life (new baby, new place, new degree..), and I think I have zeroed in on what I should get. So, the model I want to get is Midsize DJ in TT with MOP dials with diamond markers, domed bezel with diamond and jubilee bracelet. Now, as I am ready to take some real action, I need your valuable advice on how much discount I can expect from AD for a BNIB watch. It seems that the consensus is that women's models, especially with diamonds, can command higher discount rate than, say men's sports models in SS. I would truly appreciate your input. I can hardly wait to pull the trigger, but it's always nice to be an informed buyer. Thank you in advance for your help. |

It's a Datejust. It's a two tone. It's got diamonds, so it's gotta be expensive. If I were you, I'd not be satisfied with anything less than 25% off.

Thank you for your input.
Yeah, it's expensive. And 25% sounds like a good number to shoot for. I'll keep looking! |

DJs are the easiest model for ADs to discount. 20-25% should be easy for them to offer. If they don't I would walk.

If you can get 20% you're doing great. In the States there are fewer dealers and fewer watches than there used to be, so I think discounts aren't quite as easy as they once were.

I think 25%+ should be attainable
Especially this combo, I'd check the serial number, it may be "new old stock" As these aren't real common and maybe a lot of dealers might not have this particular Features, Btw yellow or rose gold, white or black MOP? |

Thank you all for your advice.
I'm looking at SS/YG combo with White MOP dial with diamond markers. It seems it's not quite a common combination, especially the domed bezel with diamonds being quite a new model. Again, thanks, guys. |

Yep I think this precise combo could be a hard find new or used, my guess is when found at a dealer it will reflect being in inventory several years and can likely be negotiated readily. whereas if it needs to be special ordered the discount is likely to be much lower. |
