Crown on my SD "knackered!!!!!!!!!!
after my concerns yesterday about the crown on my SD i took it into my ADs they greased it up and said try that same problem the crown when unscrewed is definately catching on the last threads somehow you can unscrew forever and not until you give it a tug does it operate you can just feel its caught on something not a resistance but actually catching must be the thread , now here's the good bit perhaps its a characteristic of the watch!!!!!! you reckon i reply well maybe she replies ,mmm lets try a few other rollies then ok, the next 3 out the cabinet unscrew then "pop" on the stem spring to the winding position "without a tug", perhaps your right best send it back to Rolex then says she, so as we speak its on its way, may god be with it!

you do get left feeling a bit disillusioned, when the staff believe nothing wrong that bit of brute force wont cure then when they agree all is not right, stuff it in an unpadded brown envelope to go off in the mail , i hope thats not the extent of the packaging!!!!!!!

Steve, that sucks, but I am sure they will have it back and it will be as right as the mail. And I can think of another watch you have that you can wear to soften this blow.
My Pannies, don't have this problem you know.

Steve, it could be a minor flaw, either on the stem or the inner thread of the crown.
Either way, Rolex can fix it. Good luck on that and keep us updated. JJ

spoke with service centre direct yes a fault sending it direct now, thought i was wasting my time at the ad, especially as she had the cheek to imply i didn't really know what i was talking about and in the same breath THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A TRIPLOCK CROWN ON ANY ROLEX!!!!!!! and this problem is a unique characteristic of the seadwellers crown function and precision instrument or not they all require a tug or a fiddle, im in there this morning as the doors open

Hi Steve,
I guess I'll stick around for a while .. see if I can post a few comments and add to the general chaos that is so much fun. What is the general opinion around here about ...... dare I say it ...... holograms. Don't answer .. I was only kidding.

P.S. Unless you want to start a TRF war, do not ask seriously about holograms. As they say, "Them's fightin' words!!"

There are also things called "paragraphs." That's when you separate a series of sentences with one thought from another series of sentences with a second thought. In the States, we've used both periods and paragraphs for quite a while. They really help with understanding what someone has written. You British might try to use them sometime. You might get to like them.
