movement comparision old and new subs?
As I remember, the new ceramic sub has a different movement than the 2010 and predecessor and I am wondering if anyone has seen an article comparing the two. I could not quickly find one and if there are articles, as I am certain there are, could someone provide a link.
I have both the 16610 and the new ceramic sub and want to read about the movement accuracy readings between the two. Thanks. Robert |

It is the same movement since 1989, i.e rolex 3135, even in the new 116610.
The fact that the spring is made from a different alloy does not change anything except : -color: blue tiny spring now -magnetism: the new is a-magnetic.

spring
Is the spring also less affected by temp changes and alterations due to heat?
These are my watches, and I began wondering. Thanks for all the help in learning! Robert ![]() ![]() Last edited by tschiemer; 19 June 2011 at 06:41 AM.. Reason: typo |

Comparisons that have been made on the Rolex hairspring are usually against a "standard" hairspring, but Rolex has never used a "standard", they have used the top grade. Nivarox makes at least 5 different grades.
