First purchase

So I took the plunge today and bought my first ever Rolex.

Been looking for ages and eventually went for the GMT2 Ceramic in steel. Absolutely love it. Tried on the white face Daytona but too small and tbh I really dont think it looks as good as the GMT. Cant understand the fuss about the Daytonas..personal preference maybe..

Anyway having been on this forum for so long it feels great to finally be able to say I've joined the club..

My first was a GMT. While I'm ready for a Daytona, now, it wouldn't be the Rolex I'd pick if I was limited to one. The GMT would be, though.

Congrats on your new GMT2 although not sure what all the fuss is about over them...personal preference I guess but enjoy!

Ps- Kidding but not sure why you felt need to do a separate post dissing Daytonas...

Just re my Daytona post...Im not dissing them...I think they look great on ladies btw but for me I just prefer the GMT...the main crux of the post was just ot find out about why they are so desired and I think I got the answer I was after. Apart from people likin the look i appears the extra long waiting list have historically increased the desire to own them...

Each to their own, Id never diss anyones personal choice!!

Congrats. I enjoy the GMTIIC also. imho, it is one of the bet designs Rolex has. To post pictures, you need a photo webhosting site such as photobucket. Place the photo on that site then you can upload iit from there.

Now you are saying they are ladies watches!!
You better quit while you are ahead!
Ps- just busting your chops but do suggest more careful word selection perhaps and congrats on your new watch- look forward to pics!

For the second time congrats on choosing the GMT II, however, incase you were not aware both GMT and DAYTONAs are 40MM.
So if you are calling a Daytona a girls watch due to size, guess what, you have a girls watch too!
