THAT DDII is in platinum, actually..hence, the smooth bezel, and more whitish appearance of the metal (compared to 18K w.g.).

As for me and DDIIs--while it's far from my favorite Rolex--I'll readily admit the platinum model with glacier blue dial and blued hands/numerals is simply awesome!

The polished bezel is an option on the dd2...as are diamond markers. I have been considering this watch in WG with blackface and diamonds...
