Breitling Question

Hey I have a Breitling Superocean II Abyss. Sometimes my dial unscrews into the second position. If it becomes unscrew under water, would water leak through?

I have the same watch in the 44mm case. No it shouldn't come unscrewed. Either you are not tightening it enough or the threads are bad. For Breitling QC to miss that would be odd. Don't be afraid to really tighten it down.

The other question is YES it will ruin the B 17 movement. If it doesnt tighten down properly take it back to where you baught it.
Hope that helps. PM me if you have other problems.

Btw where did you get it?

It is recommended that you screw the dial atleast 40 times. Does the dial feel resistance when you reach 40 turns?

40 times is to wind it. Now screw it down. Push it in all the way and screw it in. That should solve your problem.

Make sure you do not over tighten the crown. Use your thumb, flat side pushing on crown, on the face of crown until it slips, then use finger nails to grip until you feel resistance and stop. Do not over tighten.
