New PO Chrono question
Hi guys,
I'm not new to watches, but I am new to Omega. The recent buzz about the LM PO chronograph really caught my attention and I'm trying to learn more about the model and brand. Inspite of all the reading and research I've done so far, I'm unable to find answers to two questions: 1. Are the chronograph pusher operable underwater? I heard previous PO's were, but can't find info anywhere about the new version. I'd assume yes, but those pushers look like they have screw-in collars. 2. For Ti version, is the Grade 5 Ti treated in someway to increase it's hardness/resistance to scratches. In my experience, Ti scratches sooo much easier than 316 or 904 SS. A finely finished (mirror polished in some areas) Ti would be a scratch magnet, I'd imagine. No? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks guys, Ji

Are my questions that bad?
If they're obvious questions I apologize in advance, but I've tried searching the topic 10 different ways and still can't find an answer. Surely one of the Omega experts here can help. Cheers, Ji

ok Ji, ill try to answer what i can.
as for the pushers all omegas (excluding the speedmaster range) use a magnetic style pusher desinged to be operated in water to a depth of 150m, so i have yet to inspect the new PO but one would assume that they would keep with their technology as only a handful of companies actually use this technology. as for the Ti, omega have advanced the new Ti somehow (not 100% sure how just they have :P) which makes it look and feel like SS it also has a harder scratch resitence but not the heft that usally goes with SS. i recommend you try on the old and the new (when you get a chance) and see which one you like better. remeber there will be a considerable price difference/ hope this helps

I guess the pusher design is so common knowledge now that even Omega doesn't even touch on it on their website. Seems like a technology they'd want to advertise. It's one of the big reasons why I bought the Sinn chrono. As for the Ti, all my Ti watches get dorked up so much more quickly than my SS watches. I'm glad to hear that they made it a bit more scratch resistant...and I've already heard it'll be over 10G's with the Ti bracelet but am hoping for a reasonable discount after the initial mad rush subsides. I'll take your advise and wait to try them both on. Thanks again, Ji
