Bezel Nicks

Hey everyone. I knew this day would come, I just hoped it wouldn't be so soon. I have my first tiny nick in the bezel of my Submariner. I was just wondering how much bezel wear you have on your submariners and how you feel about it. That tiny nick is tearing me apart

Lots of wear...and it doesn't bother me one bit. It's the first of many, my friend.

Things happen, but then again as time goes by and the service time comes round you can replace a thing or two and polish it up a bit and it will look just like new.

Don't worry about it. Try to think of this and any future marks you put on it as the watch's DNA. Together it tells a story of your ownership.

Where on the bezel? On the coin edge? Between the pointed coin edge? TBH I would rather a scratch than a nick or ding. Other than polishing out scratches, can RSC really do anything for nicks and dings on the bezel?

They become so much more fun to wear when you accept that these things will happen. Of course, they don't stay pristine wearing them a lot, but choice is either to leave in a bank vault to maintain the perfect watch or wear and enjoy and have experiences in. I choose the latter. As hard is that may be when I bang into something...

Do I have any scrathes or dings? You bet your a$$ I do - it's a watch not an exclusive piece art.i

Relax, wear your Rolex and enjoy.

Does your car have any scratches, dings, or nicks?

No worries! We have all gone through the experience of the first ding - and we are okay.

Enjoy your Rolex!

I feel your pain, when I finally received my ss Daytona after three years on AD waiting lists I smacked it into a door frame two weeks later and put a tiny chip in the crystal. Most people on here seem to think it adds something to the ownership of "your" watch, two and a half years later it still annoys me! Whenever I look at it I see it staring back at me, I will fork out for a new glass one day....grumble..grumble

A bezel nick is nothing compared to a mid-case nick/ding.

Be happy

X2

A new bezel is peanuts compared to a new mid-case.
