I am getting mad...
I ordered my new Anniversary Submariner on the 27th. It was shipped priority mail on the 27th from Southern Cali to Texas. I still have not yet received it.

That is not good. Who or where did you buy it from?

I contacted the store I bought it from and they said it was sent registered mail. They told me registered mail cannot be tracked. I guess it should be here Monday? Not unless the stupid mailman kept it at the postoffice without leaving a note on the door. I am very impatient. Good thing I insured the watch with the information given to me by the seller. So if it gets lost in the mail, my insurance company should cover it under my personal article floater policy.

Regestered mail is by far the slowest method of shipment, usually 3 to 5 days.
That being said it is BY FAR the safest method of shipment, and the only one I use. It'll be there. |

Congrats on the purchase. I understand how hard it must be to wait for it. Once I decided on the Sub LV I didn't want to wait a day. I'll tell you this - I believe you will not be unhappy when you do receive it. I've had mine since Thursday morning and have been very happy with it. Little concerned about the green bezel at first but not now. Nice contrast with the black dial and steel bracelet. Maxi dial is great. I just keep staring at it. Good luck! I hope it gets here soon for you.

PS.
Don't put away the Luger just yet in case it is not there by Monday. Maybe just put it back in the holster. |

Traditionally Priority mail would be 2-3 days anyway. Most businesses that claim same day shipping will ship orders on the next day if it was ordered after a certain time.

For those who are wondering, it is a 1918 Erfurt with matching numbers except the mag, which is WWII production.

Check the slide rail on the P-38's lower receiver. I had the slide come right off the back side of the pistol and shoot by my head. Tiny cracks and strong ammo will wear it out.
Love the 1911A1, best gun ever. |

That P-38 is almost new. I think it was unfired before I got it and I only put 50 rounds through the pipe.

I'm sure that you will get it this week, but if you really wanted sooner then next day UPS or FedEx would have been the better choice.
The LV is a nice Rolex although it does take some getting used to. Somedays I look at mine and wonder if I made the right decision and other days it looks great. |

Registered is very very slow but also sure. Every
person who touches the package has to sign for it. It gets there. Probably will arrive Monday...and it also may not until Tuesday. I sent a watch from Los Angeles to Texas for service, and it took a full three business days.
My favorite .45 was a little Firestar compact...still can't understand why I sold it. It shot as straight as a full size Springfield Armory...fed everything I could put in it...only failed to feed once on a reload...ahhh well, I'm only torturing myself. JI |

nice collection Eagle Arms.. is the Luger an American Eagle? I've always liked those models.

No, the Luger is not an American Eagle, it is a 1918 Erfurt (Imperial German) P.08 9mm.
I did ask to have the watch shipped FedEx or UPS, but they said they had to do it USPS to avoid something or another... |

The store should have insured it for the retail value when shipping it - if it doesn't arrive, it should be no sweat off your back bcause THEY are responsible for getting your item to you. |

USPS express or priority should have been options as well... I bet you're wearing it by tomorrow...
Congratulations, by the way... the LV is the bomb.

I wish I could wear it by tomorrow. I hate having to sign for Post Office stuff because this is what happens since I have to work:
Day 1) Post office makes attempt #1 and leaves note on door Day 2) Post office makes attempt #2 and notices that I request to pick up package at post office since they will not leave at door Day 3) I dive 30 minutes (one way) through traffic, stand in line for half an hour, and waste an hour and a half off of work to go to the post office to pick up package. So, if they attempt delivery on Monday, I will wear it Wednesday. All this trouble and I live 1 mile from a UPS distribution center that is open until 9:00 PM and will hold packages the same day that the attempt #1 happens. Oh well, I will have it by NEXT weekend, hopefully. |
