Will Omega Boutiques mean no discounts
Went into a Omega boutique yesterday and was asking about the new PO and what discount they could do, they said no discounts. I asked if this was only on the new PO or all models, they said it was across the range and Omega was hot on any of their boutiques giving discounts. Does this mean if Omega goes over to boutiques we won't see discounts anymore like you can get in an AD or was this boutique just telling porkies to get full price.

It's fairly standard practice for brand boutiques not to discount at all. I doubt (although I could be wrong) that Omega will go to solely selling their watches through boutiques, they seem to be pretty supportive of ADs at the moment

I was in a store yesterday and they said an Omega store at opened at our local high end mall about a month ago. Then this week they got a call saying they were not going to be shipped any more watches AND what they had could be sent to the new store and they would get a check if they wanted.

I had been offered a discount at a boutique but this was before they started withdrawing the line sin AD's.
I guess once the ADs have gone there will be no more discount. Should be interesting to see how this lays with the consumer. My hunch is that it will backfire badly.

Buying an omega w/o heavy discount is like trespassing all the 10 commandments
