Need Help Vintage watch ID

Hi guys,
This was my father's watch and I'm assuming it's a 1950's watch but I'm unsure. I'm looking for any info and value.

The watch and bracelet are solid gold, stamped inside the band is 750 Rolex Swiss Made then a set of three numbers arranged in the shape of a triangle, the number 2 is on top 5 on the left and a 1 on the right.

thanks

Looks like a 1940's or 1950's Yellow Gold Bubbleback. Also, the clasp is probably original, but the bracelet may be aftermarket. The dial may also be an early refinish, but not 100% sure. Either way, a very nice watch. As for value, I'm not quite sure, maybe around $2000-$4500, assuming all the points above are correct.

Thanks for the help.

Another question, is this a good time to sell such a watch or should I hang on to it? I have never worn it, nor do I think I will, I would pass it on to my son if I thought he would want it but it's not his style either.

I have an Explorer II and am looking to get a Submariner, this watch might raise just enough for a nice used SuB...

Nice watch! What I would do is scrap the bracelet for gold and stick it on a nice leather band, and put that money towards a sub. Keep it! You never know, one day you might like it.
