Icon14 Breitling for my Dad

Bless him 82 years old and fancy's a Breitling, i think the one that would suit him the best is the headwind day date, found one a 2005 model, on pilot Mint so hopefully pick it up this weekend.

the only concern is the bracelet we may have to change it,could look a bit to blingy on him, i have a 40 year old Securer he used to where when i was a nipper with a similar Bracelet, so we will see how it looks.

thinking of a croc on deployment would look better.

any advice

Mark

yeah the leather strap woudl probably be a better bet ( if he wants to be able to lift his left arm) but its his watch and your dad so you will know better

good point on the weight, looking to steer him in a Rolex direction

but he was a train driver for 45 years, steam and diesel so he kind of runs in a straight line , with no veering

Breitlings are great...........Rolex isn't the be all, end all particularly when your Dad favors Breitling.

The Headwind is a great watch, I wish Breitling still made it.

A good way to go is a Rolex Air King, if you are looking for a good value that is light weight and still "cool" for the older generation I think that this is a "timeless" watch.
