Aftermarket bezel/dial Rolex, would you get it?

There are some beautiful diamond bezel and dial pre owned ones out there with prices that seem lower than all original that is tempting.

Would you buy one with aftermarket diamond dial/bezel? Why or why not? The only practical aspect I can think of in getting one would be issues with getting it serviced by RSC.

Never.

What a shame to put an Aftermarket anything on a Rolex...least of all a diamond dial or diamond anything.
IMO this would really cheapen the look of the watch.

Funny thing happened last night at Lodge. A visiting Brother had a beautiful 18K DD on. I'm no expert but I assume it's a newer model because of the clasp. It had a diamond bezel but it looked like an aftermarket. I asked him about it and he said that the original one was "too gaudy" and he replaced it with one with smaller diamonds!!

It stops being a Rolex when aftermarket parts are added.

Only if it's entirely Rolex original. I say this b/c there's alot of dials that are authentic dials but the precious stones were put on aftermarket. The quality up close is hideous. I'm looking for a slate serti dial for my 16613 myself.

I have seen some aftermarket stuff that is exactly like the original. Some people have aftermarket parts on their watch and don't even know it. One has to be careful, especially with dials and bezels.

Authentic only for me, as to why? Well.. because it would bother me everyday as I looked at the watch.

I wouldn't go for an original Rolex diamond dial/bezel/bracelet so an aftermarket alternative is a huge no no for me.

I would, but it would depend on the watch. An older styled DJ or DD, absolutely... A newer Platty or Gold DD, no.

Never, I would even consider carefully modding my Rolex even with OEM parts.

gotta be 100% original for me.
Not to mention that RSC will hate your watch, and possibly refuse to service it.

Aftermarket diamonds are fine for ladies Rolex.
Authentic Rolex diamond bezel and dial are pretty expensive, and most women will use the Rolex as jewelery, anyway.
