Icon4 So, who did ROLEX fire to get bracelets proportional to the bigger casings ~ !

I mean comon, look at this, the bracelt still has proportion and even a more pronounced 'taper' - looks right !

This strap shulda made it to a DEEP SEA or Supercsd GMT or SUBc...

It was this engineer who is now working for SWATCH Group filing chamfer on Ploprof's and Seamasters

proportional bracelets

The change in size that jumps out most to me is the increase in lug size. Those babies are about twice the size than those on the old GMT!

I could not agree more with you! This is my main beef with the DSSD, but your point certainly applies with the GMT and SUB as well. A 22mm bracelet will be the one thing I miss going from my current watch (Oris diver) to a Rolex.

I agree, with one caveat on the DSSD - the taper should not be less than 20mm

Don't knock them until you get some wrist time with them buddy After just about four weeks of non stop wear, my 116610 is wayyyyy mor comfortable and legible than the 16610 it replaced I'm not knocking the old style at all, it served me well. it's just that the new case, bracelet and clasp just 'fit'

I think something that's trying to be something it isn't looks worse than the latest release from the mothership

Not really a 'knock,' okay, yeah it was. But I was referring to asthethics more than comfort.

I have worn them too and they are comfortable and balanced, these are just optically deficient/displeasing/dis this n dis that; is what this is all about

I always liked the tipical Rolex bracelet tapering; the problem with the new Exp II, IMO, is that the case is way too large and therefore the 22 mm bracelet size at the lug is too wide ...

Ciao

Well I no longer work there.

Wait a minute, actually I never worked there to begin with.
