New omega owner, and lots of concerns

I have a placed an order from amazon and purchased an omega sea-master quartz 22218000(but still didn't receive it). I prefer automatic watches but i couldn't get myself to pay for the 2220.8000 so i chose the less expensive one, but i got a bit upset when i realised that the 2221.8000 wasnt worn by daniel craig, and it was worn by pirece brosnan. Anyhow, can you help learn about my watch? any information about this model or about the brand itself would be usefull. Moreover, do you know if Amazon is a trusted seller of omegas (even though its not an AD)? and did i make a good choice (keeping in mind that i dont care about the co xial movement, neither the warranty, i just need a luxury and stylish premium brand watch that i can wear all week, and not getting very concerned about getting it scratched, in such case of buying an expensive rolex submariner).

Since i ordered this watch problems seems to be coming, i am really not into it anymore. Its very weird but very discouraging, therefore i am returning it to the seller. I hope they understand.
I dont think i will be thinking about getting an omega anymore, at least not for the coming 5 years
pls close the threaddd

A bit of buyers remorse? At least Amazon is good about returns.

I think you made a poor fine decision regarding your hand watch purchase. The return of your unappreciated time functioner is normal considering your dumbassness.

Watch your mouth grandpa.
And yes, i wrote this topic in another forum, to get people feedback, unfortunately the return might cost me a lot (20% of the watch price), if that's the case then i will keep it and use it as my daily hardcore watch. I have learned my lesson " Never settle down for less ".

I am not an old member here, and i don't think that people can trust a new unknown member selling his watch.

consider sending it back to Amazon,20% is a lot to loose but if the watch is not right for you then it may be the best option, selling the watch is also an option but you might loose more than 20% selling it.

No, i dont have anything against pierce. Its just that the seller has a very modest website, that made me suspect their legitimacy. Visit their website and you will know what i mean www.fshionguru.com.

The watch is stuck in the US customs. they really know how to give us a hard time sending something from the middle east : they required the value of each part of the watch : bracelet, dial, case, battery
and after providing them with this, they require the sellers license number though the seller is just an e-trader and he has no license, its done through amazon and its just a returned item.
I really gave up, if they didn't consider this and refuse to accept it, then they will return it to Bahrain and i will be taking it to our Omega dealer to get it inspected for authenticity and just keep it. Because, frankly speaking i hated dealing with american customs and would never consider buy anything from the states except for the inexpensive products

What you describe is standard customs procedure for watches .

Just to the end this thread :
I have received the watch, now warranty card. Because un authorized sellers cant pass on the warranty to other buyers. I took the watch and its original but my authorized dealer brought 2 pieces of the same watch and for 400-500$ LESS :S :S :S, and it turned out that FSHIONGURU, was enjoying getting me whipped to get this watch back and forth.
I will never ever think of getting a watch online even its less expensive. Sad ending but at least i got a nice watch :) untill i buy a rolex.

I think it's unfortunate you didn't have a good experience with this purchase. A lot of people get bad luck when they purchase online (hence the advice of buying the seller, not the item) and I think that's why I refrain from buying online. Personally I prefer to stick to websites where people only put ad's so you can contact them and meet them before you buy the item, perhaps you'd like to take a look at those websites from now on and meet the seller at an AD to make sure everything is okay and save you some trouble with customs. Either way I hope you will be able to enjoy the Omega SMP quartz, I own one and it's a wonderful piece (you won't have to worry about getting it scratched, I wear mine at my job and smacked it on a couple of shelves and it doesn't have a single dent on it)!

By the way, does it have the blue or the black face/dial?

A little research and window shopping could have prevented your silly ordeal. The SMP is a fine watch, but you could have had a mass produced quartz watch for many hundreds less. If you really wanted a luxury watch, you should have saved up for the mechanical movement. Amazon is trusted retailer, but for high ticket item, you're always better off with Amazon proper, as opposed to other sellers on the Amazon marketplace.
