If you were stranded on a deserted island....
which Omega watch would you want to have with you?
Many of you have several in your collection and have several on the wish list but if you had to choose just one Omega, which would it be and why? I'd be torn between a Planet Ocean or Speedy Pro but I'm curious to see what everyone else would choose if they could only have one Omega. |

The Speedy Pro - because I would finally have no use for a date feature!

My Seamaster Chrono. I'd definately be spending a lot of time in the ocean.

Constellation in 18kt yellow gold with diamond markers...imagine if you come across an ancient civilization, that could be your way of avoiding being boiled and eaten for dinner!
Seriously tho, as mentioned previously, I'd go with my Seamaster Pro...I guess it would be useful to bring a diver's watch on a desert island surrounded with water... |

PO - because of the date function... So I know how many days I have been stranded on the island....
(I mean... The last thing I want to be thinking about when stranded on an island is a watch... ) |

Sorry guys, didn't mean for everyone to take the question so literally. Meant this more along the lines of, if you could only choose one Omega, which would satisfy you for the rest of your lifetime?

Oh well, I thought this was a very interesting question anyways Chris! In that case I'd probably go with a rather fancy model in yellow gold but it would be hard for me to choose between a Speedmaster on a leather band or a DeVille...

Probably a Planet Ocean: automatic and highly water resistant.

Seamaster Pro 300m, either the 2254.50 or the 2255.80. It has great water resistance, caliber 1120 (non co-axial) movement that is proven accurate and reliable, dial is the most legible Omega has made with excellent lume and the watch is very comfortable. It's a shame they've been discontinued.

For me it would be my Seamaster Professional (2254.50). That is my favorite Omega and a true Omega modern classic. Cheers, Bill P.

PO. Here's a pic of it on an island, albeit not deserted; Cozumel, Mexico.

For me the Broad Arrow GMT Solar on rubber strap, a date, chrono and dual timezone would be really useful incase you have to be somewhere or make a phone call (with a sat-phone of course)
