What is the origin of "Root Beer" as a name for the GMT Master models that had this color scheme? Did this originate from Rolex directly or did someone coin the name? I assume it is an allusion to the other "Coke" and "Pepsi" names given (btw where did those come from?) to the red/black and red/blue combos. So therefore, Root Beer, Coke and Pepsi are all sodas. However, it is interesting that the the latter use proper nouns and the Root Beer is generic. Why not A&W or Hires?

I think the Milgauss GV should be referred to as the "Mountain Dew"....

I don't know why the all black version doesn't have a nickname???
