Air King: silver or blue 3/6/9 dial???

Hi guys...I'm going to pick a 114200 (AK), but I'm undecided if silver or blue. I really like the blue (that seems blue or violet or blak depending on the light), but I'm warried about the possibility that the coulour could make me bored after some wearing time. Could the silver deal be a better choice?

I'd like to see some pics, if it's possible...I'm very undecided!

Call Jared house of Jewelry in Henrietta, NY if you want an Air King. I was there yesterday and they have them for 40% off, and they had about six to choose from. good luck...

The blue looks great! Definitely the one I'd choose.

IMO the blue would be a winner as well, it is a beautiful dial and the silver may be difficult to read depending on the lighting conditions

If you want a sporty watch, go for the blue, if you want a dress watch, go with the silver. That's what I'd do.

Is the 114200 Blue Dial Air King still in production? Everything I can seem to find points to yes, however they are not listed on the Rolex site anymore.

After many years my wife finally agreed to get a "nice watch".....She always tried on "lady" Rolex and hated them..

Found this...she loves it.

They have the Air-King hidden in the "Oyster Perpetual" drop down under "Special Features" along with the Cellini Collection:

http://www.rolex.com/en#/rolex-watch...el-114200-0001

I think it's a mistake to present the OP and AK as "less-Rolex" models not worthy of being in the same drop-down as other models in "The Collection".
The AK has been in production longer than any other Rolex model, and has a rich history. It's a fantastic piece that's still popular in many markets, and it's still a $5,000 watch for God's sake!

Here is mine:
