New to Rolex
I just purchased my first ever Rolex. A DJ II TT with Black Arabic dial. I switched over from a Breitling Navi World and I couldn't be happier!
Any tips or pointers I should know? The watch is kinda blingy so I won't be wearing it often, is a winder recommended? Any other suggestions? |

Congrats, nice choice.
Wear it as much as possible, so that you can get as much enjoyment as possible. If your not going to wear it, no winder is needed. Since it has very little complications pretty easy to set, wind, and go. If not being worn very often then by not placing it on a winder you"ll actually spare it some wear and tear. Clean it depending on use with warm water and soap.

A couple....
1. Wear it a lot and enjoy it, you only live once. 2. Post pics of it for us to enjoy it, too.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the DJI.
Save your money on the winder. Just wind it up once a month if you aren't wearing. I always recommend purchasing a ultrasonic cleaner (cheapy off of eBay for $30 shipped is fine), removing the bracelet twice a year and 40 minutes in the cleaner with normal soap. This removes the grime that gets inside the bracelets pins which acts like polishing compound wearing down pins and enlarging holes overtime resulting in bracelet stretch. Other than that enjoy.

Congrats. You don't need a winder. I had the same thoughts about possibly buying a winder when I started my 'collection' but I didn't end up getting one as its not required at all.
Don't worry about it being 'blingy' its really not that blingy at all unless its paved with diamonds in full YG |

Congrats on a beauty As for the easy link, it just pops out when the watch is off your wrist and is super easy. I believe it gives you an addional 5 mm

Gorgeous watch.
My experience with winders is that they quit after a few years and just add cost. With watches that aren't complicated (e.g. yours) it's easier to just reset them when they wind down rather than shelf them on a winder. Even with my GMT complications it's not hard to set them, wind them, and go. |
