Omega boutique store

I checked out the Omega botique store, they have a great selection of all things Omega, and Omega only. The service was also very good.

The price point on most Omegas seems like a steal compared to Rolex. Two watches stood out for me today, a new blackfaced moonwatch with a date, day and month wheel, and this second watch for 3,500 with the best looking dial I've seen in some time...

Very tempting if you ask me...What do you think...?

I've also been to an Omega Boutique store, and the one I went to in Chicago was very nice and the staff was very helpful. I went there a couple of times before getting my Speed Master Pro. Omega has a lot of nice watches. If you like it I say go for it.

Looks very sporty, if it's your type of watch then enjoy and spoil yourself a little bit!

I like that version of the Speedmaster Date - ref. 3510.52. It's an older iteration (the newer models have the date between 4 and 5 and 3,6,9 chrono registers) but recent enough that they are still available at plenty of dealers. The domed appearance of the bezel and crystal is a nice touch. You can probably find a better deal if you go through a grey market dealer online or an AD. The boutique will probably make you pay full price.

This is very tempting, indeed.

And it has the ETA Valjoux 7750 movement, one of the best you can get....

That's a beautiful watch!

I would look at a boutique but buy from a trusted seller here on the boards... unless the boutique has something discontinued you can't get anywhere else. ;) I actually DID buy a watch from a Boutique last week that was discontinued. I get it tomorrow via UPS.

Let us know what you decide!

Suzy

They just opened one up near me. Its a fun way to spend an hour. VERY knowledgeable staff that seems to really enjoy just talking watches and history, upcoming models etc.

I'd agree with your analysis of Rolex vs. Omega price points. I have a Rolex GMT and an Omega Speedmaster. I like them both, although I've got to say that I wear speedy most of the time. But I do find that more people comment on the Speedy ( I also see more people looking at it when I wear it vs the GMT).
