The ultimate vintage dictionary?
Anyone ever come across one?
I'm thinking of an overview of terms like chapter ring, rail dial to underline, meters first etc plus a description of what the term refers to... If it doesn't already exist perhaps a nice TRF Vintage section project? What do you think...? |

Great idea if such a compilation doesn't exist somewhere else.

Damn fine idea .....
The idea of a glossary appeals to me.
This forum is super-friendly but I still see folk apologise before they pose what they consider to be a simple question. An easy to navigate glossary of horology and/or specific Rolex terminology could be a very useful, non-intimidating resource. Cool idea Tijssan |

That sounds like a plan. I am going to collect the terms in an excel sheet and will post my initial assessment in a few days. You guys can shoot/complement and hopefully we'll end up with something useful.
