Brand New 1992 "Thunderbird"

Came across this watch and it looked interesting. The seller wants $3000, but I am concerned about the functionality of it after sitting in a box for 20 years. Opinions?

I think the price is good.
Doubt you can buy a NEW Rolex watch for $3K these days.
Just wind it and if it works good and keeps good time just wear it until it breaks down.

Congrats, nice watch.

I'd get it serviced because at 20 years it's probably about time.

Despite the movement (I guess since it didn't work for 20 years) the watch seems to be in a good shape, the bracelet doesn't even seem to have some stretch. I'd go for it!

Any nicks on the bezel? The white gold is a bit soft for the detail they machined.

$3k is a little more than I'd want to pay, but we're only talking a few hundred dollar difference.

I'd buy it...for 2800.00...never pay "what the seller wants"...
Unless I'm the seller. I always have good deals.

He's not flexible on the price and he has since advertised multiple other Rolex's. I think I'm going to stay clear of this one. It's not really the watch I want anyway.

You should certainly be up for "humanitarian of the year" honors. Your posting brought a tear to my eye.
