My 1000th, may I say something?

Greetings TRF,

Well, this is it, 10 days before my second month on this forum I've been able to survive and reach my 1000th post. Without wanting to sound like an oldie as I know I am still and will probably always be a newbie around here I thought this was a great occasion for me to say a little something about my experience so far on this website.

I'll have to be honest and say I haven't been the most helpful member around here. Indeed, although I always honestly gave my humble opinion when needed I'm far from having the knowledge some people have and I spent most of my time learning stuff about Rolex and other watch brands, laughing at your jokes in the Jokes and Cartoons section and talking about music with a couple of other fellows.

However, when I realized I was near my first 1k posts it seemed to me like it went rather fast and I came to the conclusion that it was because I was having a lot of fun around here. I met some very nice people who shared my different passions and I've been able to participate and give my opinion in some discussions I would never have if I haven't subscribed to this forum. Therefore I thought I could thank everybody for making this forum such a nice place to talk about everything and say I hope I'll be able to post a lot more in the years to come!

Your worst ennemy, the quartz man Carl.

P.S.: Please forgive me if I sound cheesy (and for the somewhat way too long post), I'm aware I only have 1000 posts and I don't want to make a big deal out of it but fun can't be calculated with posts and I just thought the timing was great so I wanted to share my thoughts, keep it up!

Thank you very much guys, I appreciate it! I don't know what's Johnbeth's record but perhaps he could tell me about it in between two of his posts about the great John Holmes, his idol!

19.61 posts per day...I have a few question for you..., if you don't mind that is:

--What's your longest TRF break, breather, I took off a few days after I bought my sub, I needed a break...?
--What's your overall TRF objective...(learn about watches, movements, start a flipping business, etc. )//?
--Has your significant other banished you to the dog house yet...?

--Lastly, Are you man or machine...?

Oh well 19.61 posts per day isn't that much, MonBK for instance has about 25 posts per day and managed to have 9k posts in less than a year!

- I believe two weeks ago I spent a day or two without posting, perhaps a bit more. I don't feel like I NEED to post but it's nice to see what's new around here.
- My main objective when I subscribed was to meet some nice people who liked watches as much as I do and learn more about movements and history of high-end brands.
- I'm a TRF youngster and I still live with my parents (don't hate me bro'), they didn't kick me out of the house and my girlfriend didn't leave me for my best friend yet!
- I'm a man with a machine on its wrist (the quartz machine that is, got it? ...*sigh* I need a life). As I said some people have from 25 to 32 posts per day around here, I just happen to be unable to shut up (hence my actual long post to answer your question ).

Now 1,000 posts in a month! That is just crazy.

Congrats on your thousand posts. Wow, less than two months too.

It took me almost eleven months to reach 1000, which I believe I have done with this very post.
