Non-stop running of the Chronograph
Hi,
I have an automatic breitling chronomat evolution. The watch has a small seconds hand in a totalizer, and not a big seconds hand. The chronomat opperates in two other totalizers, and it's seconds hand is a "big" hand. I really like the movement of the chronographs seconds hand, so I run it non-stop (synched to the watch's time). Is it OK to do so? Or can it potentially damage the watches movement in the long term? Thank you! :) |

That's the bad thing about chronos, you don't get the second hand sweep.

I run the chrono on my Speedy most of the time.
No problems at all.

It'll cause more wear on parts of the movement, and will affect power reserve slightly. However, apart from that, you'll be fine!
cheers, Jake. |

No problem with a Valjoux 775X movement.
