The London Christmas GTG 2011

Ok.. Where to start!!?

First of all I'd just like to say a HUGE thank you to Spudsy for arranging this and making it happen! Top bloke Dan.. YOUR DA' MAN

I also want to say it was absolutely fantastic meeting up with you all again, and find it brilliant how a source such as TRF can bring people together and build such great relationships (As friends Dan, don't worry)..

For those that don't know, there happend to be a watch event on at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea called SalonQP. We (Me, Dan "Spuds", Steve "DiamondJack" and Paul "BH13GMT") thought this would be a great way to start the GTG so we made that our first stop before we met the others, I already attended the event on the 11th I thought another viewing won't hurt! Will it?!!

At the Saatchi Gallery there were some FANTASTIC watches, I mean guys.. really!!!

After meeting Dan and Paul at there hotel..

All in all, a FANTASTIC day out for somebody with such a passion for watches..

On to the Dickens Inn!!

Plenty of eyecandy availible here... For me personally, Steves WG (Blue Angel) was the star of the show!

Paul(BH13GMT) was sporting a beautiful Red Sub which I took quite a liking too...

Truely great people!

Thank you again to Dan for doing all of this! And look forward to the summer GTG!!!!

(More photos coming tomorrow)

Seems like you guys had a wonderful time, thank you for sharing that story as well as those pictures!

By the way, I'm kind of glad you didn't buy that Opera thing...I like gold as much as you do but there's always a limit!

If I had the money I would buy the Opera just to sit and marvel at such a feat of engineering and design....Then I'd put on my WG Sub to go out with :)

Thanks for the report...

What a great day. First off it was Salon QP with some old favourite brands and some new ones but no Rolex there. Finishing off chatting to my current favourite brand, Bremont, I looked up and saw a rogues gallery of four familiar faces. Dan (spuds), Dino (Dingoo93), Paul (BH13GMT) and Steve (Diamond Jack). We spent a couple of hours wandering around and being fickle I was impressed with everything but in particular Bremont and Graham, strangely enough both British brands.
On to the good old Dickens bar at St Catherines Dock where we met Gabriel (Swearengen) and subsequently were joined by David (Illuminatus), Paul (AyeCaramba) and Stefan (StefanoA). As usual we drooled over each others watches and everyone was very polite about my Bremont ALT1-Z as I was the only person not wearing a Rolex - again. Steve's collection was fantastic - again but everyone had superb taste in watches, as would be expected. It was great to meet Dan, Dino, Steve, Paul and David again and real pleasure to meet Paul, Gabriel and Stefan for the first time.
Well done Dan, once again and roll on the summer GTG.
Great pictures too Dino.
