Daytona Chrono run vs no run

Acquire a Daytona recently, but I found myself running the Chrono when I wear it.

How many owner run their Chrono all the time why and why not?

I don't, I don't find any reason to do it. Some will however so they can see the crhono hand act as a second hand.

I don't usually run the chrono unless I'm measuring something. Otherwise it's a waste of "energy" IMO, not to mention the unnecessary wear and tear too.

It's like why have the wipers running when it isn't raining..

I love the hand sweep that's why I want to keep it on when I wear it.

I think there's a balance between excersize and ware. I run mine a few days a month.
Non-WIS/non-chrono people, see the large second hand not moving, and think it's broke. Every have this?

X2 Cannot see the point of running chrono function 24/7 use it when needed there is a sub seconds at 6.

I exercise mine occasionally. And I always stop the second hand between the subdials so it doesn't block the writing on the face.

I run mine for about ten minutes once every 6 weeks or so...just to 'exercise' it.

Running it all the time probably puts unnecessary stress on the movement.

I never ran it either but no for fear of wear or tear... It is a Rolex and was designed to be used I for one like the look of a stationary hand on the watch, dont ask me why but I just do

Usually running the chrono drops the amplitude about 40 degrees and thus over time cause the watch to gain time and the parts of the chrono were not designed to run 24/7 and will prematurely wear out. Rikki
