So I finally bit the bullet and bought the premier watch cleaning kit. Not bad deal for $30+ to clean up the prized Rolex. Might as well spend the money to clean it right. I am excited to clean it... Does this make me weird?

I will write up a little review plus pictures when I get it.

It seems to clean the watches quite well.

The strange part is there are no suds, which intuitively I like to see

But it does seem to work very well.

Any old soft tooth brush and liquid dish soap and a little warm water will keep your Rolex
clean and shiny. I have an ultrasonic cleaner for rings and chains. I use 1/2Top Job and 1/2 H2O and it works great! You can ultrasonicly clean your watch's bracelet if it's super dirty.

Have to agree plain old soap and water has worked well for myself over the past many many years, and thats all that Rolex themselves recommend.

The problem with "plain old soap" is that it is much to vague a term. Soaps with added perfumes, moisturizers, oils etc etc can be inappropriate and end up leaving residues behind on the watch. So wether Rolex recommends it or not I prefer using a product that has specifically been engineerd for cleaning and maintaining watches.

I have a Premium Care Kit2 on the way. I can't wait to test it out.

I use a dishwashing soap, and a soft toothbrush. If the diswashing soap can clean my SS forks and knives, it will shine up 904L and 18k YG.

Well have used all types of soap, shower-gel, washing up liquid,plain tap water, bottled water.Even special soaps than you can wash in salt water when I was working on the liveaboard boats with more watch hours than I can remember underwater.Then used bottled water to rince after washing never ever had any problems leaving any sort of residues.

Although Rolex reccomends regular soap, I figure might as well try something specifically designed to clean watches. For $30(plus there's a black Friday sale that saved me extra 30%), I thought it was worth it to see if it made an impression on me.

Ordered my kit too - think we broke the Veraet site as they were swamped last week....they apologised profusely, so no harm done. Looking forward to seeing how good this stuff really is (I know it's just cleaning gear and I'm getting excited

I DEFINITELY baby my watches, so this product should work perfect for me!

I also picked up a couple packs of their microfiber towels, and I hear they do wonders, especially on Rolex pieces. Haha

They have a Black Friday deal right now that has 30% off purchases online, so I reccomend anyone interested in pampering their watch should hop on that deal.

I usually use soapy water and soft toothbrush and it comes up great.
However, i've heard so many good things about Veraet that I've treated myself to the kit too!!

They apologized to me too saying they had shipping problems.
Can't wait to see how my watches come up.

We need to demand royalties or at least some kind of giveaways for the TRF crew by the time we are done. If this stuff is as good as I hear, I have a feeling their sales will go up.

X2 on their cloths. Those along with the cleaner are a great combination. And I've washed their microfiber cloths many times and they still look brand new.

Love to have this 118ml of liquid analysed at a lab. Wal-Mart sell microfiber cloths, so not sure what I'm getting for $30 other than a fuzzy feeling of well being.
