Interesting. Custom GMT?
I'm not aware of any green dial GMT other than the full 18k GMTIIc (116718 )

It's a very nice 16713. I haven't seen too many GMT Master II's with a green bezel and green face.
I can't stop looking at it |

Have you had it checked for authenticity?

It was purchased by my parents in a branch of Northern Goldsmiths, I've since had it back to another branch of Northern Goldsmiths and they stated it is authentic, although it has had a bit of custom work at some time in its life.

I suggest that you read the rules for posting, especially rule #5. Eventhough one of your watches says "Rolex" on the dial, none of them are, and that is the reason why you haven't seen many GMT masters in TT with green bezel and face. If you were not aware of it when you bought it I suggest that you immediately reverse the deal. I never post posts like this, unless I am absolutely convinced. I wish you good luck, and as I said: Welcome to TRF. Spend more time here, and learn about the different models offered by Rolex, and also about the examples of modifications being done here by members. Best, A |

That certainly is unique. It looks like one of those ebay rollie's that's not quite a rolex anymore.

Sorry Andyrew but the more I look at it the less I think it’s a Rolex. No 16713 was ever fitted with a maxi feature dial nor (what appears to be) a triplock crown. The '2' of the date is partially obscured by the dials date aperture. Also the font of the date wheel dosen't look right for the era(I'm using the engraved rehaut as a guide). The bracelet's polished centre links don't sit up against their respective outer links as well as to be expected. If it were mine I'd want to take a look inside to see the Rolex movement.
Of course......I'd love to be proved wrong. Is there any chance of some pics from different angles? |

Welcome. I hate to say, but the font is so wrong and the magnification of the cyclops is not right. I hope you can get a refund, as i know what it is to lose money by being scammed. I hope we are all wrong here for your sake, but I don't have a good feeling about this one either.

If your parents truly thought they were buying an authentic example, they may have been the victim of a crime..
You best look into it.....
