Icon19 What to do with 16030?

I have a 16030 that my parents gave me for a Highschool Graduation gift. I am not sure of the age of the watch. It is identical to the one pictured below including the "Engine Turned" bezel.

My question is, should I leave the watch as is, or should I consider a new dial. I was thinking maybe a white dial... Maybe with Roman Numerials, but not sure. Or should I leave it in original condition?

Any input is appreciated.

It does look nice as it is. Are you thinking of changing it because there is a problem with it, or because it's not your cup of tea?

IF it was mine, I'd keep it as is. It was a gift. 50 years down the road, you'll be glad you did. Put it away, and pass it on again as a gift again. Keep it "as is". It's a keepsake.

Yeah, no problem with the watch. Has always worked perfect. I was thnking of changing dials just to have something new... But if it is better to leave it in original condition I am perfectly fine with that too. I was just curious....

It's perfect - don't change it!

That's almost identical to my first Rolex.....bought 25 years ago last month....my advice - leave it exactly as it is, I have never tired of looking at mine for quarter of a century....a lovely lovely watch....here's mine

Ok, that works for me. Again, I was just curious.
By the way, without taking the band off, is there anyway to determine the age of a 16030? Are there small detail changes from throughout the years to help with an age determination?

Definately leave the original dial on. It is a beautiful watch. As this was a gift, even more reason to keep it as it was.
