Rolex has not always raised prices in every calendar year.
There was a string of years that there were sometimes two changes in a year, but last year the Fall increase never materialized, much to my delight, since I put off buying my 14060M as long as I could relying on the Swiss governments push to hold the value of the Swiss franc steady. Therefore, it is possible that Rolex may sit on the current prices even longer, if they can. I for one do not believe that Rolex raises prices just because they can. I believe that there are market forces at work that put Rolex in that position. The history of price increases argues against Rolex raising prices arbitrarily.

Gold prices way down, recession in Europe, wouldn't surprise me if prices stay the same.

On some existing models there will probably be pricing actions. And on others no changes
IMHO, the inexorable escalating price curve will continue bending upward on any new models introduced at Basel 2012. The larger cased and ceramic bezeled pieces cost more than the model each replaced.

The value of the Swiss Franc has stabilized and the US Dollar has been rising once more so a price increase for the US this year is unlikely in my opinion.
If you really want to know the future prices you`ll have to get inside Rolex to find out. |

Money left on the table if they don't, cost of doing business always goes up, why absorb it? Pass it along to the customer...

I know, but I'm not saying, which doesn't matter because most of you are saying what I would say if I were going to say it. I also should add that though I can say with great confidence that I know, I can't really say with absolute authority that I know for sure, which is the main reason why I'm not saying anything, even though, really, it's so totally almost completely obvious that everyone already knows for sure, pretty much.

With the debt issues in some of the european countries and the strengthening of the US $ against the euro and other currencies, I think the likelyhood of a Rolex price increase in the US is less likely in 2012. I heard the last few price increases in the US were due to the weakening US $ to the Swiss Franc. That is not the case right now. If Rolex raises prices I say it will be because they feel they can and still be able to maintain marketshare. Just my 2 cents!
