Funny run-in with a wannaba
I know the discussion of "fakes" is not tolerated here, but bare with me, this post isn't about discussing that issue---
So, yesterday, I walked by a person in the hallway at work who appeared to be wearing a two tone submariner. As we passed, I said "how long you been wearing that?" There was an awkard pause, and he said, " I don't wear it much, can't believe you noticed". Then he just looked at me for a minute and said "here, check it out". When I received it into my hand, it was clearly not real, as it weighed about that of a sheet of paper. Now, the really awkard part, this person is my bosses, bosses boss....2nd in command! Oh crap! Do I tell him or just say...ummmm thats nice. He looked at me and said what do you think? As I tried to formulate a reasonable answer, he laughed and said that he knows it's not real and was wearing to mess with one of his immediate co-workers......what a relief! |

Sad. He probably barring numerous divorces or some other such thing could be enjoying the real thing. He thinks it is a joke and it is.

I would hope that would that experience would have taught you a valuable lesson as it could have been awkward for both of you and made you look bad in front of someone who could affect your career in that company by cutting it short....
Even if I see someone wears a fake I always refrain from commenting. |

Not sure why he is in possession of a fake. Regardless, thanks for sharing your encounter.

Have to agree a fake is a fake no matter who owns or buys or wears it.And on TRF we dont talk about fakes who wears a fake, close encounters with fakes etc so subject is closed. Lets get back to serious discussions on why the forum was first formed Rolex genuine watches.
