Fitting a dome to a 6294
I have just got a new acrylic dome for this watch but I am not sure what order to fit it in. To remove the old one the dome tool wouldn't compress the dome enough to remove it so I popped the bezel off and it just slid out of the bezel.
To put the new back on I have tried putting it in the bezel and then compressing the bezel to the case with my watch case clamp but it is tough to get on and if I get it down the dome always seems to end up lop sided If I fit the bezel first then try and compress the dome it wont get anywhere near compressed enough to fit. I have checked and checked again, it is the correct size and matches up to the original size wise. Any advice in fitting this? |

You will need a watch case press for install this dome (crystal), it go fit to the case first before the bezel, it will snap in easily, and the bezel is press on with the proper ring press that just slightly larger than its diameter, so you don't hit the dome. The pressure have to evenly to the bezel or you will scratch the dome and possible distored the bezel too.
