Suggestions for next watch.

Hey everybody. Even though it will probably be a year or two before I get a new watch I was wondering what you would reccomend. I'm going to see if I can squeeze the 1,000 dollar or upward mark. I would like something more sport insdead of dress and SS if possible. It just kind of helps to start looking way early.

You could always look to pick up a pre-owned Omega Seamaster.

I was actually looking at Omega's. Except I was looking at the Planet Ocean in the unmentionable color.

That would be a really solid choice too Tyler.

Something about the orange bezel with the orange on the second hand just does something for that watch. I don't know what, but it does something.

If for some reason I didn't get that my second choice would probably be a Breitling or maybe even a Airking.

It does it to me too, it is called vomitting.

I actually just prefer the black version, but either would be a great choice. And also the "normal" step in your horological expierence.

What it does for that watch cannot be printed in a public forum, Tyler.
Suffice it to say - black is beautiful. If you're going to go with a PO, please do it in black. Orange makes a fashion statement- fashion statements go out of fashion all too quickly.

Any choice you make out of those you mentioned would be great Tyler. Then when you saved up more money, you could sell what you already have and along with what you saved and get something else if you wish. If you do that a few times, bingo, there's your Sub. Here's a pic of mine. Sorry for the poor quality, it's the first one I took.

I'll make some suggestions in a year or two. For now, you're just dreaming, so dream big. ;-)

Hi Tyler,

If it's around the thousand dollar mark, then may I suggest a LNIB Omega Seamaster all black dial and matching bezel with matching SS bracelet. It's a really nice looking watch. I'm talking about the one with the sword hands - not the skeletal hands.

Good solid ETA movement, very dependable and a perfect choice for a young fella like you. A few years down the line, I'm sure you will finally wind up with your dream Rolex.

Good luck and do keep us posted.

JJ

I would suggest passing on the year quota, and save for the Submariner you want.

If you can't wait that long, go for his 'little' brother, a Tudor Submariner or Tudor Hydronaut http://www.tudorwatch.com/west/en/home.htm

I passed my Tudor Sub down to my step-son. It's a very simple, rugged watch.

Myself Tyler I would save your money, keep saving for your Rolex sub.
Your Seiko is all the watch that you will need, for the time being until
you strap your dream Sub on your wrist.

I agree with Padi on this, but holding off on these purchases is not easy.
