Correct 5513 dial

Can anyone tell me what was the correct dial that came with a 1977 Rolex 5513 Sub. Was it a maxi. or did they come with a few different dials. Any help would be appreciated.

it depends on what you are basing the assumption of 1977 on ....dial types relate to serial numbers.

if you are using a wonky chart or the sales date to arrive at 1977 you could be off ...i have seen 1972 manufactured 5513 often sold as late as 5 years later .....

even a 5.0-5.5 million case number could be argued as around 77..and that would be a pre comex dial not a maxi .,...

more info needed

My 5.2 mil. I'm unsure of purchase date but most S/N references list it as 77. Not sure whether the "Maxi" label is appropriate but the dial correct is for this series.

pre comex not a maxi .....

exactly the point i was trying to make !!

but please don't forget maxi is just a term and a category to give them names ..makes it easier for us to catlaogue and decsribe them thats all..same as pre comex, serif, non serif is ....doesnt neccesarily make it better or worse to be a maxi or not....
