5 min markers on daytona's - some fat some big?
I have been interested in purchasing a daytona 18kt / ss white dial and I have noticed a difference in the 5 min markers in my findings...Some are fatter than others...For instance :
versus Why is this and which models have the thin 5 min markers and which modeles have the fatter markers? Thanks in advance, David |

The older models have the thinner markers. The newer have the wider markers.
In the two pictures you have posted the black dialed one, a 16523 with a 4030 movt, the white dialed a 116523 with a 4130 movt. Hope this helps. |

Thanks for the quick response you are a great help! Also another question...There is a bigger space between the coronet @ 12 position and the Rolex Oyster Perp under it compared to the older model where the letering is right under the coronet...Is that also a difference between the new and older models?

Here is a nice link with a comparison between the "Zenith" Daytona (Cal. 4030/ref. 16520) and the new Daytona with in-house movement Cal. 4130 (ref. 116520): http://www.oysterinfo.de/de/specials...6520/index.php And here is some dials to look at (NEW Daytonas): http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=20375 And some "Zenith" Daytona dials (and Daytona dials in general): http://www.doubleredseadweller.com/16520.htm
