Father passed down his old Daytona, can someone tell me more about it?
So my dad has had this for a long time, I think he bought it used back in the 80's. I'm a watch novice, only owning a few and certainly nothing over $500 worth. It looks like it's a 6263?
It does have cosmetic damage, which I want to restore if possible. I'm thinking I want to make this a family heirloom that I pass onto my son one day, is this watch worthy of that honor? Can anyone tell me more about what was passed down to me exactly? |

Looks like a 6263 daytona from the late 70's or early 80's. Very nice, rare watch!

Get it serviced and wear it in good health! Pass it on to your son then!

....troll? just putting it out there. almost no postings on the forum, knows the model but isnt sure if it is "a watch worthy of restoring or passing down from generation to generation" easily a 20K or more watch...

Lol, not trolling but I could see why it would look like it. I'm a watch novice and just wanted some knowledge on it.

Nice watch man, not so rare, but very collecting!
You could take off the bracelet and take pics of the serial number and reference, so you'll be able to know when it was produced and if it is ok in all his parts. Enjoy it in good wealth.
