Sub ND Ceramic
Hello, I am new to the forum. I am really looking forward to Basel 2012 and expect to see the new 114060M Ceramic.
What do you guys think of this picture I made? That would be my dream Sub. Sub ND with Ceramic Bezel and the new Explorer II case. |

Looks great to me! It is a cool twist to put it in a 42mm case, but it would have to be totally different than the EXP II case to account for the Triplock crown. If we do see a 114060M this year, I think it will most likely be in a 40mm supercase.

Welcome to TRF.
I can hear the complaints now. Geez it cost $$$$ for a Sub ND. I sure wish they hadn't done any updates.

If it goes into a 42mm case, I will be all over it. However, it'll destroy the sales of DSSD.

I'm sure glad I've got mine already.
I don't have to sweat future updates at all. Rolex can do with the Sub what they will now and it will affect me not one whit. In my opinion, I already own the perfect Sub.

Do you think Rolex would compromise sales of its biggest single sports seller 116610 with a 42mm 114060 Greg?

I don't think the Sub C would be compromised at all - seems like there are two distinct schools of thought when it comes to Subs. Some like the date function, and others prefer the symmetric, clean dial. I don't find many people deciding between, say a 16610 and a 14060 - typically their minds are made up. I do, however, see more and more folks having a hard time deciding between the ceramic GMT II and a Sub...

X2, I love it. I have been holding out for that watch for a bit now, my fingers are crossed for a 42mm Sub. I sold my Sub C because I don't like the case, the Explorer II case is nice and with the 21 mm bracelet, it's proportions are perfect.

Love my old 14060 as is, hope they don't change a thing.
I have been able to resist the ceramic offerings up until now, but a 114060 may prove to be irresistable. |

I think that Sub ND is already perfect watch, and the things I like the most about it are it`s down sides. I mean, it have some sort of vintage charm, not very common in modern watches!
Great artwork, BTW! Welcome to TRF! |

That would add an easy $1000 to the price of an already perfect watch.
The picture itself is great, but there's no good reason to mess with the 14060M.
