Just a quick question...

How come the clasp's on 18k Rolex's always seem to feel stiff but kind of smooth at the same time?

Is it anything to do with gold being a soft metal they screw it tighter to maintain a tighter clasp for longer?

I think its so if the clasp opens you dont lose 20k...

My dd is like that.

I think it may be tighter tolerances. I notice that my 116718 feels muh tighter than my 116710 and both are relatively new.

My SS and YG bracelets both seem pretty "tight". I just seem to be more gentle with the 18 k gold clasps! I do baby them more but really they both feel about the same to me.

I never paid attention to it as I said. I just opened up clasp on my WG Sub and it is tight- slow to open and quite smooth as well. Interesting......

Gravity, the watch and bracelet is heavier hence the stiff clasp.
