DateJust II Dial Choice Help!

Good day everyone. I am trying to decide on a DateJust II.

Either Black Roman or Rhodium with Blue Arabic. I wish they had a Rhodium with Silver Roman.

I would appreciate it if anyone has seen, in person, the Black Roman and the Black Stick dial.

In the pictures I have seen, the Black Roman does not seem "as black" as the Black Stick dial, ie...looks kind of "charcoal". It may be the light of the photos I have been seeing.

Please let me know your thoughts! thanks, Tom

I am sure that Rolex will have an SS white roman with smooth bezel soon.
I am waiting.
You will like it.

I was debating between the two recently but finally settled for the rhodium with blue Arabic in white gold/steel. I thought the black Roman looked a bit too busy for my tastes given the white gold fluted bezel. I am very happy with my choice. But on another day I would probably have picked the black Roman if mated with a yellow gold bezel.

there is no right answer, only what you like. that being said, for me, when it comes to the DJII, the only right answer is blue (especially), black or white stick dial (in that order).

Have you checked any of these out in person? I would recomend a trip to your nearest AD as thing don't always look the same in person anyways.

I was just trying on the rhodium dialed DJ 2 again for like the 20th time. That would be my choice, still regretting the chance I had to pick one up tax free at heathrow a few years back, when prices were much more reasonable...

I like the white stick dials on the SS models but i think the TT with ivory dial is a fantastic combination.

I much prefer the stick dial also...
But given the options you mentioned... black/grey Romans over the rhodium Arabic.
