Icon6 Another one....new golden croc strap

Another new strap.

I had been hunting for a honey/golden croc to add to my OEM dark brown and black crocs for work. Despite not being 100% on getting a croc from Ted Su, they had the best option available outside of spending a fortune at ABP, and I'm glad I took the chance on the "golden". Amazingly, they shipped it on the 30th of January and it made it 1/2 way around the world in 3 days.

It might have been a tiny tad more yellow, but, overall, it works great for me, fills a hole in the collection and it feels better on the wrist than their baby hornback (which isn't to say I don't like the baby hornback, just that what it's lacking in feel it makes up for in looks). Also, I went for a polished buckle to dress it up a little more.

Some pix.....

Thanks for looking. Gotta love (or hate?) the strap addiction.

thanks everyone!

always a good feeling to finally find what one is looking for. there's just something about the golden tan and black look that really works for me, and to have that combo in croc is what i was looking for.

not as soft and "luxurious" feeling as an OEM, but i think it will soften up some with time (it will probably always feel "thinner" than OEM, though). but, until a color like that is available from OP, this will do just fine.

Looks fantastic Cru! I would love to see a pic of your all your straps together. I am thinking of ordering another Micah in the near future for my 177, but your pics may have persuaded me to go after another croc (my 177 came on OEM dark brown croc)! Well done...

Thanks again, all. At half the cost of OEM, it was definitely worth trying out the Ted Su croc. They have some other unique colors....

Thanks! I'll see if I can steal a moment alone to grab a group shot....if the wife sees me taking a picture of all of them, I have the sense I'll be in a bit of trouble.

Now that you have had this strap for around a month what is your opinion of it?

How does it compare to OEM gator or ABP (if you have any)?

Well, it and the OEM black gator are getting almost all the wrist action. I really, really like the color of the golden strap - it fits the SS brushed case and polished bezel and black dial/green lume so well. Plus, I quite like the polished buckle for this strap. Dresses it up a bit.

The OEM + deployant "feels" nicer, but, they both make me smile. If your are thinking to try a Ted Su croc strap, I'd say go for it. Especially at half the cost of OEM.

Strap intuition that I am all too familiar with.
