How accurate is the most accurate Rolex you've seen?

I've had my GMT IIc for a few months now, and as of today, since my last check on 12/14/2011, I have gained a total of 6 seconds.

Is this almost too accurate?

Sounds great. Have you ever adjusted the time during this period of time and what have you used to monitor it's accuracy?

I haven't adjusted time at all. Only bumped the date by one day since due to 30 days in Dec. It is worn every day, never been in a winder.

My Sub has been +/-(2-4) for the past 10 days. But your result is pretty darn good.

My 14060 m 2011 gains about 3 secs per day so after a week you are approaching 22 secs ahead of the atomic clock
Every two weeks i just pull the crown and wait for Time to catch up with me !

Hmmmm... None of mine are accurate enough! I often find myself reaching for my mobile phone when I need to spot check the time! Looking at my timepiece now I think I have the wrong date as well

One time I checked and my GMT was accurate almost to the dot. Usually it's 3 seconds fast.

I haven't seen one more accurate than mine because I have seen some, but not known if they were more accurate, so maybe I have, but mine's .4 seconds fast a day.

I set it once a week, cause I'll get sanctioned (likely not) if I'm late -- but I tell my wife that for more dramatic effect!

I'm trying to do a time study about setting it at night, but lately I've just been taking it off and placing it on the dresser before crashing!

I'm pretty sure you already own a few that are more accurate.

I just bought a 14060M COSC brand new on Monday. I checked it against Coordinated Universal Time yesterday and today, and at this moment it is not gaining or loosing at all. I thought: Surely this can't be correct, an automatic watch can't be that accurate, can it? But I stopped into my local AD, and the watchmaker put it on his machine and confirmed it. But he also said that the watch is still too new, and that in order to have a reliable idea of how accurate I can expect it to be in the long term, I'll have to give it some time (about a month or so) to get broken in, and then check it.

How can anyone even see 6 seconds over a day let alone a month? Does it even matter?
My life is too interesting to even care

Obviously you cared enough to click on the thread and type this post. It takes about a tenth of that time to compare the watch to an accurate time source.

Last time I set my Explorer II was the end of last year, have worn it almost non-stop since, and haven't wound it once. It has gained a grand total of four seconds, pretty amazing, I think.

3 Months and Only 2 Seconds Fast!

The Hulk! Absolutely amazing and my best timekeeper - ever! I check it once a week and it is like the energizer bunny, just keeps going and keeping almost perfect time!

BTW, I'm new to the forum and just thought I'd say hi to everyone and look forward to participating on a regular basis. Some may recognize me from other forums but don't hold that against me

best,

My most accurate Rolex is my old 1630. It runs about -1 sec/day.

My DSSD is losing one second per day. Did a 30 day test against atomic clock and ended up 30 seconds off exactly. I can live with that. If I want better, I can buy a digital Timex I guess.
